SAN FRANCISCO — Another week. Another privacy debacle. This time, Apple is to blame.

Google has secretly been bypassing privacy settings in Internet Explorer, Microsoft claimed Monday -- mere days after a Wall Street Journal investigation revealed that the advertising giant was bypassing the privacy settings of people using the Safari browser on iPhones and computers.
